New Wembley Stadium opens

March 23rd, 2007

Two years late and $1.57 billion later, the new Wembley is open. How cool it would be though, to be there for the very possible Chelsea vs. Manchester United FA Cup final match on May 19th, along with 89,999 other fans? I heard an advert for British Airways the other day on XRT – they’re having a fare sale…

I think that’s a rediculous amount of money for a stadium but on a side note regarding your comment, how much in pounds is a stone?

    15 stone = 210 lbs.

Well in that case I completely and categorically deny that comment! I’m a couple over that and I’m not in a wheelchair!

i’d be in a wheelchair too folowing that logic, as would Clarkson himself. He does use a bit of exaggeration from time to time, but most of his points are rooted in some semblance of truth. Like the fact that all american strip mall based towns are nearly indistinguishable from one another, and we as a country really like to eat and not exercise very much – and that no one seems to know that there are other countries outside of this one. Jay Leno proves that regularly.

Yeah other countries, I saw that once in Disneyland…Epcot Center or something like that. They have Chineese food, “Fish and Chips,” and some kind of Crepe or something like that…it was like a really cool strip mall.

Epcot is like one big food court – and quite a few ‘mericans are lucky if they’ve even been at least exposed to that. You just can’t beat chain Disney food. The best has to be the safari chicken fingers at the rain forest cafe (served by chad’s & trixies wearing loads of “flair”) – miles better than the crap kfc serves up.

They probably get the food from the same vendor, but disney sees fit to charge double for it.
